ORDER

The petition has been filed for directing the 1st and 2nd respondents to take action on the petitioner representation dated 10.12.2025.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that he worked in Periya Kancheepuram Town Co-operative Bank Ltd., (hereinafter referred as "bank") for a period from 1981 to 30.09.2019. The petitioner attained his superannuation during the month of September, 2019. He would further submit that since a criminal case was registered against him, he was ordered to be relieved from the bank service on 30.09.2019 without any retirement benefits. After trial, the petitioner was not found guilty for the alleged offences and accordingly, judgment was passed on 23.02.2023 in the aforesaid criminal case.

Thereafter, the petitioner filed a case against the first respondent's cost order which was passed on him and an order was passed to set aside the cost order by the learned Principal District Judge, Kancheepuram, by an order dated 14.07.2025. The petitioner would submit that as on date, there is no case or charge pending against him and he is therefore, eligible to receive his retirement benefits and for which, he made a representation dated 05.11.2024 to the respondents and there is no response for the same. Later, the petitioner made another representation dated 04.09.2025 to the respondents for which the respondents replied by stating that the petitioner should obtain a report from the Circle Joint Registrar. Thereafter, the petitioner made yet another representation dated 10.12.2025 before the respondents, for which, there is no response till date. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner is before this Court.

4. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials.

5. Considering the relief now sought for by the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 10.12.2025, on merits and in accordance with law and to pass appropriate orders, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
