ORDER

The petitioner had submitted representations dated 08.02.2026 and 14.02.2026. Since no action was taken thereon, the present petition has been filed.

2. From the materials placed, it is seen that the petitioner is an agriculturist owning lands in S.No.48/1, 48/2, 49/5, 49/7, 49/8, 49/9, 50/1 and 20/5 of Deviyakurichi Village, Thalaivasal, Salem. Earlier, she had sought protection for herself and her son, and this Court in W.P.Crl.No.1788 of 2025 directed the Inspector of Police, Thalaivasal, to provide police protection if required.

3. It is now alleged that respondents 5 to 10 entered into the petitioner's property and harvested crops worth about four lakhs. However, no action has been taken by the authorities, hence the present petition.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the petitioner's son, Tamilselvan, married one Jayabharathi. Owing to matrimonial discord, Jayabharathi is residing separately along with her daughter and is claiming rights over the property. A divorce petition in HMOP.No.40 of 2024 is

pending before the Sub Court, Allikulam. The dispute is essentially between the petitioner and her estranged daughter-in-law. It was further submitted that the petitioner's complaint was enquired into on 04.03.2026, and it was found that the matrimonial dispute between the fifth respondent and the petitioner's son is pending in HMOP.No.40 of 2024. In addition, the first respondent has filed a Domestic Violence Complaint and a civil suit in O.S.No.227 of 2024, which are also pending before the competent court.

5. In view of the pendency of these proceedings, both parties were advised to approach the appropriate forum for relief. The police cannot interfere in such intra-family disputes, and accordingly, the complaint was closed.

6. This Court is therefore not inclined to entertain the present petition. The petition is dismissed. No costs. The petitioner is at liberty to approach the concerned court for appropriate relief, if so advised. 11-03-2026 nl Index: Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order
