(Order of the Court was made by N.KIRUBAKARAN,J.) This petition has been filed to extend the parole period for 15 days imposed in Crl.M.P.No.2562 of 2020 in H.C.P.No.2637 of 2019 dated 27.02.2020.

2.It is seen from the records that the petitioner is a life convict and he has been given leave up to 20.03.2020 by order dated 27.02.2020 for the purpose of taking care of his wife who is suffering from heart ailment and for other reasons.

3.The learned Counsel for the petitioner submitted that the daughter of the detenu is studying XII and she is writing the public examination and the examination ends on 24.03.2020. Hence, he seeks to extend the leave period.

4.Taking into consideration of the above facts, this Court extends the period of leave from 20.03.2020 to 26.03.2020. The detenu need not be brought back to prison on 20.03.2020 at 05.00 P.M. as per the earlier order dated 27.02.2020 and he is directed to be brought back to prison at 05.00 P.M. on 26.03.2020.

5.Accordingly, this petition is ordered. Post the matter for reporting compliance on 30.03.2020.
