[RESPONDENTS] Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issuance of writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to provide petitioner appointment under Compassionate Ground in any Group III or Group IV Category post based on the representation dated 22.1.2009 and 23.12.2014 within the stipulated period as fixed by this Honourable Court.

O R D E R

Considering the nature of relief sought for by the petitioner, and with the consent of the learned counsel appearing on either side, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2.The petitioner has come forward with this writ petition, seeking for a direction to the respondents to provide appointment to the petitioner under Compassionate Ground based on the representations dated 22.1.2009 and 23.12.2014.

3.The petitioner's father was a Government servant and he died on 24.06.2006, while he was in service. Hence, the petitioner made representations dated 22.1.2009 and 23.12.2014, to the respondents to give him compassionate appointment, due to the death of his father. Subsequent to the above representations, the petitioner has also made several applications for the aforementioned relief. However, so far the respondents have not chosen to give compassionate appointment to the petitioner. Aggrieved over the same, the petitioner has come forward with this Writ Petition for the aforementioned relief.

4.Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner, the respondents are directed to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 23.12.2014, in the light of the Hon'ble Division Bench Judgment of this Court dated 23.07.2013 in W.A.(MD) No.737 of 2013 [P.SATHIARAMAN v. THE SECRETARY TO GOVERNMENT, DEPARTMENT OF ELECTRICITY & 2 ORS] and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
