O R D E R

The prayer sought for herein is for a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents herein to consider the name of the petitioner for appointment to the post of B.T. Assistant Physics (Telugu) M.G. category for the recruitment year 2010-2011.

The petitioner had appeared for a Certificate Verification on 07.01.2012 for selection and appointment to the post of B.T.Assistant Physics (Telugu) under the MBC General Category, for the year 2007-10 and since his name was found in the list of Maths subject, he was not considered and selected. Therefore, in order to select him for the post of B.T.Assistant Physics (Telugu), though he has made a representation, since the same has not been considered, he has filed the present writ petition with the aforesaid prayer.

Mr.C.Munusamy, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the first respondent and Mr.Magesh, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the second and third respondents submitted that, though the petitioner was initially not selected, pursuant to the certificate verification dated 07.01.2012, subsequently again he was called for certificate verification as his name was sponsored on 26.03.2012 and based on such certificate verification, he was selected.

In this regard, the counter affidavit filed by the respondents has been relied upon by the learned Special Government Pleader, which reads thus, "It is submitted that the 1st respondent viz., Teachers Recruitment Board has notified some vacancies for the post of B.T.Assistant (Minority Language).

Accordingly, 2nd respondent after obtaining the list of all eligible registrants from all the Employment Exchanges, a consolidated state wide seniority list was sent to the 1st respondent. The petitioner's name was also sponsored by the 2nd respondent to the 1st respondent. The petitioner was called for the certificate verification on 07.01.2012. The petitioner would have verified the call letter before attending the certificate verification. The petitioner after attending the certificate verification only prayed that his name was nominated in Maths instead of Physics.

It is submitted that the petitioner was again sponsored on 26.03.2012 to the 1st respondent and the petitioner was called for certificate verification on 23.06.2012 for B.T.Assistant Telugu Physics subject. The petitioner was selected. Hence, there is no merit in the case."

5. I have considered the said submissions made by the learned counsel for the respondents and have perused the averments made in the counter affidavit filed by the

respondents, where it has been categorically stated that, though the petitioner, pursuant to the certificate verification dated 07.01.2012 was not selected, subsequently again his name was sponsored on 26.03.2012 and then he was called for certificate verification on 23.06.2012 for B.T.Assistant Physics (Telugu) and accordingly he was selected.

6. Therefore, the prayer sought for by the petitioner since has been met with or accomplished, nothing survives in this writ petition for adjudication. Hence, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
