This petition has been filed to direct the respondents to give Police Protection for effecting electricity service connection in the property situated in S.F.No.141/2A3A of Karuppur Village, Omalur Taluk, Salem District and to take appropriate action on the petitioner's complaints dated 07.09.2015 and 13.06.2016.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner; learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents and perused the materials placed on record.

3. Today, the matter was posted under the caption "for being spoken to". It is seen that this petitioner is seeking electricity service connection and when the officials came to his property for giving connection, they were prevented by one Mahadevan and Poojari. In this connection, learned counsel for the petitioner produced a copy of the communication dated 04.04.2016 sent by the Assistant Engineer, Distribution, TANGEDCO to the 3rd respondent seeking protection to the workers for effecting electricity service connection. In this regard, the petitioner also lodged complaints dated 07.09.2015 and 13.06.2016 seeking police protection and since there was no response, the petitioner is before this Court.

4. In a case of this nature, this Court cannot issue a direction as sought for by the petitioner. It is open to the petitioner to workout his remedies by approaching the appropriate forum.
