ORDER

The writ petition has been filed in the nature of a mandamus seeking a direction against the second respondent to pay interest for the belated payment of Provident Fund, Gratuity and Earned Leave Salary. The petitioner also seeks the unsettled benefits of leave encashment and the last 6 days salary should also be paid to the petitioner.

2. Heard the learned standing counsel appearing for the respondents.

3. The respondents may examine the service record of the petitioner and determine whether the interest is possible for the belated payment and if interest is possible, pay interest at 6% per annum from the date of retirement till the date of actual disbursement. The respondents may also examine whether the petitioner is entitled for payment of leave encashment and salary for last six days. If the petitioner is entitled for the same, then the said amount must also to be paid to the petitioner. The entire exercise shall be completed within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.

4. The writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
