ORDER

The instant petition is being filed for the following relief: "seeking a mandamus to the second respondent herein to consider the petitioner's representation dated 08.12.2025 regarding disburse of the terminal benefits in light of the orders passed by the first respondent herein in G.O.(D).No.609 Municipal Administration and Water Supplies (MC3) Department dated 17.10.2025 and appoint the petitioner's daughter on compassionate basis due to the death of her husband Adhikesavan, on 14.6.2023 who was working as a street light electrician, within a time frame."

2.

It is the case of the petitioner that her husband Adhikesavan was appointed as a street light electrician on 11.12.1996 and due to medical complications, he had passed away on 14.06.2023, after which, she became the only bread winner of the family. It is her further case that pursuant to the orders of this Court dated 27.11.2023 passed in W.P.No.4924 of 2020, the first respondent had passed orders in G.O.(D).No.609, Municipal Administration and Water Supply (MC3) Department, dated 17.10.2025, regularising the services of her husband along with other similarly placed workers and hence, she is entitled

to disbursement of terminal benefits and consideration for appointment on compassionate grounds. Therefore, she submitted a representation dated 08.12.2025 to the respondents herein for disbursement of terminal benefits and appointment on compassionate basis along with all required documents. Since the same has been considered so far, she has filed the present writ petition. 3.

Heard the learned counsel on either side.

4.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that it would suffice, if a direction is given to the respondents to consider the representation dated 08.12.2025 and pass appropriate orders within a time frame to be stipulated by this Court, for which, the learned counsel appearing for the respondents have no serious objection.

5.

In view of the limited relief sought herein, which has not been seriously opposed on the side of the respondents, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 08.12.2025, if not considered earlier and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of hearing to all the parties concerned, within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the aforesaid directions, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
