O R D E R

The petitioners, who are small scale agriculturists have filed this writ petition for a Mandamus forbearing the 3rd respondent from erecting the transmission lines on the petitioners lands situated at Oruttukuppai Village, Coimbatore Taluk and District, without considering the objections made on behalf of the petitioners on 16.03.2021.

2. Mr.Vijayamehanath, learned Standing Counsel for the respondents 1 and 3 takes notice and would submit that they have not erected any High Tension Towers and they have only taken measurements for erecting High Tension Towers. At that time, objections were raised by some of the farmers and they have also approached the District Collector under Section 16(1) of the Indian Telegraph Act, 1885.

3. In view of the submissions made by the learned Standing counsel for the respondents 1 and 3, this Writ Petition is disposed of. However, the 1st and 3rd respondents shall carry out any further work after obtaining 'enter upon permission' from the 2nd respondent/District Collector. No costs.
