The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 10.02.2023, for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 420, 294(b) & 506(ii) of IPC, in Crime No.80 of 2023, on the file of the respondent Police, seeks bail.

The case of the prosecution as per the de-facto complainant/Ramanujam is that the accused have induced the de-facto complainant and 53 others, by giving assurance that they could get Government jobs and received a sum of Rs.1,14,50,000/- and cheated them. The further allegation is that when the de-facto complainant asked the accused to return his money, they refused and threatened with dire consequences. Hence the case.
3. Learned Counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and she has been falsely implicated in this case. He further submitted that a case of financial transaction has been falsely projected as a
case of job racketing. He also submitted that the accused A4 has been granted anticipatory bail by this Court and also stated that the petitioner is in custody from 10.02.2023 and she is prepared to abide by any stringent conditions that may be imposed by this Court. Hence, he prays for grant of bail to the petitioner.
4. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police submitted that the petitioner (A1) is the main accused in this case. He further submitted that the petitioner along with other accused, under the guise of getting a Government job, have received a sum of Rs.1,14,50,000/- from the de-facto complainant and 53 other persons and cheated them. He also submitted that the petitioner is the main offender in this case and the investigation is also at very nascent stage, therefore, he vehemently oppose for grant of bail to the petitioner.
5. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the respondent and perused the entire materials available on record.

Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case, the submissions made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor that the investigation in this case is at very nascent stage and taking note of the grave nature of the offence and also considering the fact that 54 persons have been cheated to the tune of Rs.1,14,50,000/-, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
7. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed for the present.
