O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for issuance of writ of mandamus directing the 1st respondent to take disciplinary action against the 3rd respondent for contravention of Rule 23 of Tamil Nadu Subordinate Police Officers Conduct Rules 1964 and complete the same within the time frame fixed by this Court based on the representation sent by the petitioner dated 17.03.2021.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.M.Shajahan, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 & 2 and the learned counsel for the 3rd respondent.

3. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing the learned Special Government Pleader submitted that the action has been initiated against the third respondent and the punishment of "postponement of his increment for a period of one year which shall not operate to postpone his future increments" Page No.2 of 4

was imposed on him and also produced a copy of the proceedings in Na.Ka.No.B2/PR 24/2022 dated 15.03.2023 passed by the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Villupuram before this Court after duly serving it on the learned counsel for the petitioner.

4. In view of the above submission made by the learned Special Government Pleader for respondents 1 & 2, this Writ Petition stands closed. No costs.
