ORDER

This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking a direction to the first respondent to consider him for the post of Village Assistant at Karrupumpulam Post, Vadaraniyam Taluk, Nagapattinam District based on the call letter dated 05.04.2017 in Na.Ka.No.9465/2016.

2.The case of the petitioner is that he has received a call letter from the second respondent on 05.04.2017, in which, it has been stated that he has to appear before the second respondent's office for the interview of appointment for the post of Village Assistant in Vadaraniyam Taluk on 19.04.2017. After attending the interview, the petitioner came to know that appointments have been filled for the said post. 3.Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that a direction may be given to the respondents to consider the request of the petitioner.

4.Considering the limited relief sought for in this petition and without going into the merits of the matter, this Court hereby directs the respondents to consider the request of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
