ORDER
This petition is filed to call for the records pertaining to the complaint filed in C.C.No.42 of 2022, pending on the file of the Additional Mahila Court, 1 / 4
Thiruvannamalai and quash the same.
2. This Court disposed of the present Crl.O.P. on 15.04.2024 holding as follows:
"4. On perusing the records and hearing the submissions made by counsel, this Court is of the view that since the complaint is of the year 2017, it is suffice to direct the Additional Mahila Court, Thiruvannamalai to expedite and complete the trial within a period of four months provided accused as well as the defacto complainant co-operates in marshalling the witnesses and examining them in chief and cros.
5. As far as these petitioners are concerned, considering the age, the Additional Mahila Court, Thiruvannamalai shall entertain the petition filed under Section 317 of Cr.P.C. for dispensing the personal appearance whenever their appearance is not required for the progress of the trial.
6. With the above observations, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of."
3. Now, the said C.C.No.42 of 2022 is pending because, A.1 is absconding and non-bailable warrant (NBW) is pending against A.1. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the first respondent submitted that A.1 is now secured and he appeared before the Court on 2 / 4
30.07.2025.
4. Therefore, the trial Court is directed to proceed with the case further in accordance with law and dispose of C.C.No.42 of 2022 within three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
