Prayer: Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, seeking a writ of mandamus to direct the respondent to consider and pass orders on the representation dated 09.03.2015 made by the petitioner seeking advance increment from 25.10.2005. Mr.K.V.Dhanapalan, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondent. With the consent of both parties, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

2. The prayer in the writ petition is to direct the respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 09.03.2015 seeking advance increment from 25.10.2005, within a time frame.

3. The matter relates to sanction of advance increment to the petitioner from the date of acquiring his M.B.A. Degree. In this regard, the petitioner has made a representation to the respondent on 09.03.2015. Till date, no order has been passed. Hence, the petitioner has come forward with this writ petition.

4. Considering the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner, without going into the merits of the case of the petitioner, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondent to consider and pass orders on the representation of the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

petitioner dated 09.03.2015, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
