Mr.K.Govindasamy, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondent. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner seeks for a mandamus to consider his representation dated 21.11.2017, wherein and whereby, he sought for extension of the route permit in respect of the vehicle bearing Registration No.TN-29-AP-9169, for the route Panhappalli to Dharmapuri, (Via) Namandahalli, Gummanur, Kuduchettipatty Cross Road, Rayakottai and Palacode.

3. According to the petitioner, the route permit given to the said vehicle is still valid till 2020 and only the prayer for extension of the said route is to be considered by the respondent.

Therefore, without expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Writ Petition is disposed of only by directing the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 21.11.2017 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
