ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction directing the second respondent to grant the medical insurance claim with applicable interest.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the first respondent and perused the materials available on record.
3. The petitioner's husband was a retired Head Master and he was receiving pension. He also contributed for his health insurance till the month of September, 2022. While being so, he fell sick and he was admitted in Kalyani Kidney Care Centre, Erode. Thereafter, he shifted to Royal Care Hospital, Coimbatore, for further treatment. However, he died on 27.09.2022. Immediately, it was informed to the second respondent and the claim of medical bill for a sum of Rs.4,15,000/- was forwarded by the first respondent to the second respondent. However, so far the claim of the petitioner was not considered by the second respondent.
4. In view of the above, the second respondent is directed to consider the claim of medical bill of the petitioner for her husband's demise and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
