This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking a direction to the respondent to afford him the post Lab Assistant pursuant to the Notification dated 21.04.2015. 2.The case of the petitioner is that he has completed B.Sc. Chemistry in the year 1995. Pursuant to the Notification dated 21.04.2015, the respondent has called for 138 posts of Lab Assistant in various Colleges in and around Nagapattinam and the petitioner has applied for the same under Ex-service men quota through online with all the necessary certificates. Accordingly, written test was held on 31.05.2015 and the petitioner has participated in the same and secured 93 marks. Now the grievance of the petitioner is that in spite of several enquiries with the respondent, no proper reply has been given regarding his employment. Therefore, he is before this Court. 3.As the selection process from the stage of the certificate verification has come to an end and the issuance of appointment order has also been taken place, now the petitioner https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

cannot come to this Court seeking the above direction to the respondent by way of filing this petition. Therefore, this Court is not inclined to entertain this petition, by invoking Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of mandamus, in favour of the petitioner, who is found to be guilty of laches. Accordingly, the Writ Petition fails and the same is dismissed. No costs.
