Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents 2 to 4 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 30.1.2020 requesting the respondents to take control and management of "Arulmigu Muneeswaran Temple", Kosalai Village, Tiruvannamalai Taluk.

(Order of the court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) We have heard Mr.V.Prakash Babu, learned counsel for the petitioner; and, Mr.N.R.R.Arun Natarajan, learned Special Government Pleader (HR & CE) for the respondents.

2. Learned Special Government Pleader (HR & CE) submits that the temple in question is in the private land and the said temple is not under the control of the HR & CE Department.

3. Be that as it may, the Commissioner, Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowment Department, may look into the representation dated 30.1.2020 given by the petitioner on its own merits and in accordance with law expeditiously.

4. With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
