Respondents Prayer:- The Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 3rd respondent to consider the petitioners representation dated 12.3.2021 and consequently direct the 3rd respondent to give electricity connection to the petitioners house in Survey No. 353 situated at No. 2 Uthiramerur High Road Bukkathurai Chengalpet District (Formerly Kancheepuram District) - 603308 within a stipulated period as order by this Court. ORDER

According to the petitioner, petitioner has submitted an application for new electricity service connection with all relevant documents on 5.7.2019, however, no action has been taken by the respondent Board. Therefore, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition before this Court.

2. The learned Standing counsel appearing for the respondent Board would submit that the said application will be considered if the relevant documents are furnished by the petitioner, subject to terms and conditions of the respondent Board.

3. Taking note of the submission made by the Standing counsel appearing for the respondent Board, without expressing any opinion on merit, this Court is inclined to direct the third respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 5.7.2019 and pass appropriate orders on merit as expeditiously as possible preferable within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of with the above directions. No Costs.
