ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction directing the respondents to include the name of the petitioner in the list of the candidates called for certificate verification dated 07.02.2024 for the post of ECG Technician.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.
3. The petitioner was qualified with 10th Standard, +2 and one year course of E.E.G.Technology Elector Physiology and ECG Technique at Stanley Medical College and Hospital, Chennai. She had completed the said course with 66% of marks. Thereafter, she was joined and worked as ECG and TMT Technician in various hospitals and scan centres. At present, the petitioner is working as Lab Technician Grade-II (RNTCP) in Government 2/6
Hospital, Anaicut, Vellore, from the year 2019. While being so, the second respondent issued notification for direct recruitment for the post of ECG Technician on 01.08.2023 on temporary basis. The prescribed qualification is as follows :
"6B Educational Qualification :
* Candidate shall possess the following qualification on the date of this notification viz., 01.08.2023. Sl.No.
Name of the post Qualification ECG Technician Must have passed PUC under old regulations ;
(or) A pass in +2 course with eligibility for University course of study.
i) Must have passed one year certificate course in Electro Cardiogram or Treadmill Technician conducted by the Government of Tamil Nadu.
4. Accordingly, the petitioner is very much qualified to apply for the post of ECG Technician. She had applied for the said post and the same was duly received by the respondents. Thereafter, the second respondent published the list of candidates and called for certificate verification for the post of ECG Technician on 07.02.2024. However, her name appeared in the 3/6
list of candidates who do not possess the prescribed qualification. As per para 6B of the Notification for the post of ECG Technician based on the certificates uploaded by them in their online application. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation to include her name in the list of candidates called for certificate verification. However, there is no proper reason for disqualifying her candidature including the petitioner for certificate verification.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner, if she qualifies to apply for the post of ECG Technician to include the name in the certificate verification on 07.02.2024. The second respondent is directed to verify the certificates of the petitioner and include her name in the process of selection to the post of ECG Technician, forthwith.
6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs. 4/6
