PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. praying to direct the before this Hon'ble Court under section 482 of the Criminal Procedure for a direction to complete the trial in C.C.No.7 of 2015 within a stipulated period pending on the file of the Learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Chengalpet.

ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition is filed to complete the trial in C.C.No.7 of 2015 within a stipulated period pending on the file of the Learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Chengalpet.
2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that, petitioner is an accused in C.C.No.7 of 2015. The trial had been commenced in this case on 26.09.2016. Out of 32 witnesses, only 20 witnesses have been examined so far. The remaining witnesses have not been examined. Therefore, this petition is filed to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Chengalpet to complete the trial in C.C.No.7 of 2015 within a stipulated time.
3. Learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) submitted that, suitable steps would be taken for production of remaining witnesses and complete the trial.
4. Considered the submissions and perused the records.
5. This is a case where accused wants speedy trial. Considering the fact 2/4
that, the case is pending from the year 2015, and trial and examination of witnesses is pending from the year 2016, this Court directs the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Chengalpet to conduct the trial on day to day basis and dispose the case, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.
