Versus

Chitra ... Respondent This case came up for settlement before the Lok Adalat. Both the parties are present. M/s.A.A.Venkatesan, learned counsel appeared for the respondent. After mutual discussion, negotiation, mediation and conciliation between both parties, they arrived at a compromise to settle the matter as follows:

TERMS OF SETTLEMENT The Criminal Revision Case is filed against the order in D.V.C.No.12 of 2020 on the file of Judicial Magistrate Court Additional Mahila Court and

thereby confirming the Crl.Appeal in No.1 of 2021 on the file of the Principal District and Session Judge, Ariyalur. 2.After negotiation, they have come to an amicable settlement to resolve all their disputes on the following terms : (i) already the Competent Court has granted divorce between both the parties;

(ii) as regards the order passed in D.V.C.No.12 of 2020 on the file of the learned Additional Mahila Court, Ariyalur in lieu of the payment of a sum of Rs.3,000/- per month as maintenance, its arrears and an additional sum of Rs.1,50,000/- and toward all claims of jewels, alimony or any other claim, a sum of Rs.4,00,000/- in one lumpsum has to be paid by the first petitioner, namely Vijayashankar to the respondent, namely Chitra within a period of four (4) months from today.

(iii) the said amount shall be paid by the first respondent by purchasing Demand Draft or pay order and sending it to the address of the respondent at No.7/11B2, Thandavarayan Servai Street, Opp. to R.R.Hospital, Ariyalur, Ariyalur District by registered post.

(iv) the household articles such as cot and mattresses, fridge, washing machine, dressing table and cooking vessels will be packed by the first petitioner himself within a period of ten days from today and will be sent to the above address in an

appropriate vehicle and the respondent will receive the same.

(v) In the event of the first petitioner not paying the sum of Rs.4,00,000/- within a period of four months, the same shall carry further interest at the rate of 9% per annum from today.

(vi) there are no other disputes between both the parties and both parties shall not have any other claim whatsoever against each other and shall lead their life separately and peacefully.

3.On the above terms, the Criminal Revision Case stands disposed off. The full court fee paid shall be refunded to the appellant in the manner provided under Section 69-A of the Tamil Nadu Court Fees and suits Valuation Act, 1955 and the Court Fees Act, 1870 as provided for under sub Sec.1 of Section 2 r/w 25 of LSA Act 1987 as amended in 1994.
