Prayer: Petition filed under Article 227 of Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, forbearing the respondents 2 to 6 from evicting the petitioner by force or illegal means or methos from the property viz., superstructure industrial and buildings bearing Door No.27/15 (Part of old Door No.155), Wall Tax Road (now V.O.C. Salai), Chennai-79 constructed on leasehold lands measuring 8 grounds 120 121 121/1 and 122/2 V.O.C. Nagar Division Fort - Tondiarpet Taluk, Chennai and consequentially it may be pleased to direct the 1st respondent to

conduct an enquiry and initiate necessary action against the respondents 2 and 3 in accordance with law.

This writ petition is heard through Video Conference on account of COVID-19 pandemic situation.

2. On 30.07.2020, when the matter was called, there was no representation on behalf of the petitioner and hence, the matter was directed to be listed on 07.08.2020. When the matter was listed on 07.08.2020, there was no representation on behalf of the petitioner and hence, in order to give one more opportunity to the petitioner to argue the case, the matter was directed to be listed on 13.08.2020 under the caption 'For Dismissal'. Even today (i.e. on 13.08.2020), when the matter is called, there is no representation for the petitioner either in person or through counsel and hence this Court is constrained to dismiss the writ petition for non prosecution.

3. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed for non prosecution. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
