ORDER

This Court, by order dated 17.06.2013, in CRL.O.P.No.30624 of 2011 directed the respondent to complete the investigation and to file a final report, as early as possible, preferably within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Since the said order has not been complied with, within the stipulated time as directed by this Court, the present https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ contempt petition has been filed.

2. Today, when the matter had come up for hearing, an elaborate counter was filed by the respondent. In para -15 of the counter, it has been stated that on completion of investigation, the case was referred as "Further Action Dropped" on 31.12.2014 vide R.C.S.No.18/2014 by filing final report before the Learned Judicial Magistrate Court No.II, Sangakiri on 30.01.2015 in accordance with law and the same was received on 02.03.2015.

3. Since on completion of investigation, the case was referred as "Further Action Dropped", now nothing survives in this contempt petition and hence, the contempt petition is closed.
