Mr.R.Govindasmy, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
2. Heard both sides.
3. The petitioner seeks for a Mandamus directing the respondent, District Collector, to consider the petitioner's https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
representation dated 09.08.2017, wherein and whereby, he made a complaint as though his land measuring 20 cents were put into use for laying road without there being an acquisition proceedings against the petitioner.
4. It is the further case of the petitioner that both Tahsildar as well as the Block Development Officer, Uthankarai, informed the petitioner under the R.T.I. Information that the petitioner's land was not subjected to any acquisition proceedings. Therefore, it is contended by the petitioner that he must be compensated for taking such land for laying the Road.
5. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the contentions raised by the petitioner as it is for the respondent to consider and pass orders, after conducting proper enquiry with the local officials. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of only with a direction to the respondent to look into the claim made by the petitioner in the representation dated 09.08.2017 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
