ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by Dr.Anita Sumanth J.) This Habeas Corpus Petition is filed by the father of one Manjunath, who is stated to be missing since 10.10.2016. Though he claims to have made two complaints on 08.03.2018 and 04.06.2020, a complaint has been registered under CSR No.345/2022 only on 22.12.2022. The CSR refers to the date and time of receipt of complaint as 1.00 p.m. on 22.12.2022. 2.Be that as it may, it is nearly 10 years as on date that the detenu has been missing and Mr.C.R.Malarvannan, learned counsel who appears for the respondent would submit that efforts are on-going to locate the detenu. 3.Having regard to the date of disappearance, the date of complaint, the date of institution of the HCP which is in February 2026 and fact that the authorities are stated to be doing their job to locate the detenu, we do not see any reason to keep this matter pending any further. 4.We however direct the authorities to do the needful to locate the detenu as expeditiously as possible and to keep the petitioner appraised of all developments in this regard in the interim.
