ORDER

This Court, while disposing the writ petition in W.P.No.1578 of 2014, by order dated 27.01.2014, directed the 1st respondent to approve the appointment of the petitioner as Secondary Grade Headmaster with effect from 17.10.1997 in the Siddhi Vinayagar Hindu Primary School at Aruppukottai, (if he is otherwise eligible) with all consequential benefits in the light of the order passed in W.P.No.16383 of 2000 confirmed by the order in W.A.No.1408 of 2010, dated 08.12.2011, within a period of six weeks. 2.The present contempt petition has been filed by the petitioners alleging non-compliance of the order dated27.01.2014 passed by this Court.

3.Today, when the matter is taken up for consideration, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that the order of this Court has been set aside by the Division Bench in W.A.No.860 of 2016 order judgment dated 07.02.2018.

4.The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that he has filed a review application before the Division Bench to review the judgment dated 07.02.108. Thus, he sought for adjourning this matter.

5.However, this Court is of the opinion that since the order has been set aside, there is no need to keeping this contempt petition pending. Hence, this Contempt Petition is closed. However, if the review application is allowed by the Division Bench, the petitioner is permitted to reopen the contempt petition.
