ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 30.07.2025 as per the direction of this Court in W.P.No.23668/2023 claiming compensation from the respondents for not allowing/permitting the petitioner to carry the quarrying operation for the remaining period as per the sanction order passed by the 1st respondent in Na.Ka.532/2018/Kanimam.2 dated 05.05.2023 and the refund the license fees of Rs.48,51,481/- deposited by the petitioner for the purpose of carrying the quarry activity within a stipulated time frame as may be fixed by this Court.

2. Mr.Stalin Abhimanyu, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the respondents.

3. It is the case of the petitioner that, he submitted a representation dated 30.07.2025 claiming compensation towards the loss incurred by the petitioner due to act of the 1st respondent in not permitting the petitioner to operate quarry for the remaining period of 48 days as per the permission granted by the 1st respondent by order dated 05.05.2023 and also to refund the licence fees to the tune of Rs.48,51,481/- to the respondents. However, the said representation has not been considered so far. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

4. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that, it would suffice, if this Court issues a direction to the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 30.07.2025 and pass appropriate orders on the same within the time that may be stipulated by this Court.

5. On the above contention, this Court heard the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents.

6. In view of the limited relief sought for in this Writ Petition, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 30.07.2025 and pass appropriate orders on the same in accordance with law within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and any other interested parties.

7. This Writ Petition stands disposed of with the aforesaid direction. There shall be no order as to costs.
