Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 19.02.2015 and 09.03.2015 and grant the petitioner patta for the property situated at S.F.No.178/2 MIG-8, Vasanthapuram Police Colony, Namakkal Taluk.

By consent, the Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner claims to be a retired Sub-Inspector of Police. He submitted representations dated 19.02.2015 and 09.03.2015 praying for issuance of patta in respect of property situated at S.F.No.178/2 MIG-8, Vasanthapuram Police Colony, Namakkal Taluk, to the first respondent, who in turn, forwarded the same to the third respondent for proper action. Since no response is forthcoming, the petitioner came forward with this writ petition.

3. Heard the submissions made by learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.S.Pattabiraman, learned Government Advocate, who accepts notice for respondents.

4. This Court, considering the limited scope of prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the petitioner's representations, directs the third respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representations dated 19.02.2015 and 09.03.2015 on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision to the petitioner.
