Contempt Petition filed Under Section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971, pleased to punish the respondents under Section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act for having violated the order passed in WP No.6042 of 2020 dated 19.09.2023.

This Contempt Petition has been filed to punish the respondents under Section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act for having violated the order passed in WP No.6042 of 2020 dated 19.09.2023. 2.While allowing the above said Writ Petition, this Court directed the respondents to consider the claim of the petitioner for compassionate appointment in any suitable post within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the respondents submits that against the order passed in the Writ Petition, they preferred an Appeal in WA No.3307 of 2023 and the same was disposed of vide judgment dated 09.07.2024 directing the third respondent therein to consider the claim of the first respondent therein, pursuant to the recommendation of the appellant dated 18.02.2019 on merits and in accordance with law and such exercise

shall be completed by the third respondent therein within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order. 4.The learned counsel for the respondents has produced a copy of the judgement in WA No.3307 of 2023 before this Court. 5.In the light of the above, this Court is of the considered view that at present nothing survives in this Contempt Petition for adjudication. 6.Accordingly, this Contempt Petition is closed. 7.However, the petitioner is at liberty to initiate appropriate proceedings after expiry of the time granted by the Division Bench of this Court in WA No.3307 of 2023, if so advised.
