Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to grant permission and necessary protection to perform the cultural programme i.e, Adal Padal on the eve of Mariamman Koil festival at Pudhusampalli, Mettur Taluk, Salem District, which is held to be on 05.05.2015.

2. The petitioner claims to be a member of temple festival committee of Arulmigu Mariamman Koil, Pudhusampalli, Mettur Taluk, Salem District. The petitioner submitted a representation on 25.04.2015 to the second respondent seeking permission to conduct dance and song programme in connection with the temple festival to be held on 05.05.2015. Since no response is forthcoming, the petitioner came forward to file this writ petition.

3. Heard the submissions made by Mr.M.Senthilkumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.R.A.S.Senthilvel, learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepts notice for the respondents.

4. This Court, without going into the merits of the petitioner's representation, directs the second respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 25.04.2015 in accordance with law on or before 03.05.2015 and communicate the decision to the petitioner.
