ORDER

This contempt petition is filed alleging noncompliance of the order dated 14.10.2015 passed by this Court in Crl.O.P. No.24030 of 2015.

On notice, the alleged contemner/respondent is present. It is seen that in Crl.O.P. No.24030 of 2015, this Court passed the following order on 14.10.2015:

"4.

Recording the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the respondent police is directed to conduct enquiry expeditiously and during the course of enquiry, if an cognizable offence is made out, a regular case shall be registered, following the decision laid down by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in Lalita Kumari vs. Government of Uttar Pradesh and others reported in (2014) 2 SCC 1."

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on the complaint given by the petitioner, petition enquiry is pending in CSR No.347 of 2015 and that the petitioner is not cooperating in the enquiry. He further submitted that on the complaint given by one Megala against this petitioner, petition enquiry is pending in CSR No.346 of 2015.

It is seen that this Court has not issued any positive direction in the order dated 14.10.2015 passed in Crl.O.P. No.24030 of 2015 which is said to have been violated. In such view of the matter, it cannot be said that the respondent has violated the order passed by this Court. The petitioner is directed to cooperate in the enquiry by appearing before the respondent police and the respondent police is directed to complete the enquiry in CSR Nos.346 and 347 of 2015 as expeditiously as possible. If the petitioner does not cooperate in the enquiry, it is open to the respondent police to close CSR No.347 of 2015.
