The Transfer Petition is filed to withdraw OP.No.44 of 2025 on the file of the Family Court, Karur and to transfer the same to the file of the Family Court, Chennai.
2. The petitioner married the respondent on 08.12.2021. Thereafter, due to difference of opinion the parties separated and the respondent had filed HMOP seeking restitution of conjugal rights.
3. The petitioner would submit that presently she is living at Thoraipakkam and she cannot travel to Karur to attend every hearing. The petitioner would further submit that she has to take care of her 2 year old boy and it is very difficult for her to attend the hearing at Karur both physically as well as financially.
4. The petitioner resides at Thuraipakkam which comes within 2/5
the Jurisdiction of the Sub Court, Alandur and not the Family Court, Chennai. Therefore, the learned counsel for the respondent would submit that the Family Court, Chennai has no jurisdiction and it is only Sub Court, Alandur.
5. Considering the above facts, the transfer petition is allowed. OP.No.44 of 2025 pending on the file of the Family Court, Karur is withdrawn and transferred to the file of the Sub Court, Alandur. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
