Today, when this criminal original petition was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police submitted that after the completion of investigation in Crime No.60 of 2021, the respondent police filed the final report in SR.No.55847 of 2023 before the learned Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, Chennai on 13.09.2023 and the same is yet to be taken on file.

2. Recording the above submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), this criminal original petition is closed. However, liberty is granted to the petitioner to challenge the final report filed by the respondent police. The learned Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, Chennai is directed to take the final report filed by the respondent police on file immediately, if it is otherwise in order. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
