O R D E R

For non-compliance of the order of this Court, dated 28.06.2022 passed in W.P.No.14797 of 2022, the Contempt Petition is filed.

2. This Court, by order dated 28.06.2022 in W.P.No.14797 of 2022, has issued a direction to the respondent herein to consider the petitioner's application dated 03.05.2017 seeking for permission to quarry on lease in respect of his patta land in Survey Nos.12, 13/2, Mookkanur Village, Dharmapuri Taluk, Dharmapuri District on its own merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of that order, pursuant to which, the respondent forwarded the application of the petitioner to the Government through the Commissioner of Geology and Mining, Chennai on 04.11.2022 for passing orders. Since the respondent herein is not competent authority under the Mines and Minerals, she forwarded the application to the

Commissioner of Geology and Mining, Chennai who in turn vide order dated 10.03.2023 directed the petitioner to appear for enquiry on 14.03.2023.

3. From the above it reveals that the matter is being dealt with in accordance with law and therefore, nothing survives for contempt.
