Mr.N.R.R.Arun Natarajan, learned Government Advocate accepts notice for the respondents and is armed with instructions to proceed with the matter. Hence, by consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is disposed finally, even at the stage of admission.

2. The prayer is for a mandamus simplicitor directing the 1st respondent, i.e., The Commissioner of Prohibition and Excise-Cum-Licensing Authority, to consider the representation of the petitioner, which is a health and recreation club, dated 04.03.2021 seeking extension of FL2 licence for supply of liquor to the members of the petitioner for a period of six months or in the alternative refund the licence fee for the lockdown period on account of the COVID-19 pandemic.

3. Mr.Arun would state that the representation has been received by the first respondent and the same will be disposed within a period of six (6) weeks from today, after hearing the petitioner.

4. Recording the same and as the mandamus sought for stands achieved, this Writ Petition is disposed. No costs. Connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
