This case is taken up for settlement before the National Lok Adalat. Both the parties are present. Mr.N.Umapathi, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.T.Santhoshkumar, learned counsel for the respondent are present. After mutual discussion, negotiation, mediation and conciliation between both parties, they arrived at a compromise to settle the matter as follows:
TERMS OF SETTLEMENT Today, the parties have filed a joint memo of compromise dated 12.03.2022, duly signed by the respective parties and their respective counsel, which shall form part of the records. 2.By virtue of the said compromise, respondent is permitted to withdraw the amount of Rs.4,80,000/- which was deposited to the credit of C.C.No.159 of 2017 before the Court below.
3. In view of the said compromise between the parties, the conviction and sentence imposed by the Court below is set aside by virtue of Section 147 of the Negotiable Instruments Act. Accordingly, this Criminal Revision Case is disposed of as settled. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed, if any.
