ORDER

This petition is filed to condone the delay of 1486 days in filing the present Criminal Revision Case.

2. Mr. Ranjith Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the matter has already been compromised between the parties and the entire cheque amount of Rs.9 lakhs has been paid to the respondent. This fact has been stated in paragraph No.3 of the Joint Compromise Affidavit filed along with the paper book. Thus, he submitted that this case may be finally decided by this court by exercising power under section 147 of Negotiable Instruments Act.

3. Ms.B.Logaswarna, learned representing counsel for Mr.L.Ramanathan, submits that the entire amount of Rs.9 lakhs has been paid to the respondent and no amount is due. He also submitted that in this regard, a Joint Compromise Affidavit had already been filed by the parties, which is already on record. Thus, she submitted that she has no objection if the delay in filing the present revision may be condoned.

4. This court has considered the submissions made by the learned counsel for the respondent that she has no objection if the delay condonation application is allowed and the Revision may be finally heard.

5. Accordingly, in view of the submissions made by the learned counsel for the respondent, the delay of 1486 days in filing the Revision is condoned. Petition is ordered.

6. Office is directed to allot regular number to the Revision.
