Mr.P.P.Purushothaman, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents 1 & 2. Since this writ petition is being disposed of without affecting the interest of the third respondent in any manner, notice to the said respondent is dispensed with.
2. The petitioner seeks for a mandamus directing the 1st respondent to dispose of the appeal dated 12.10.2017 filed by the petitioner as against the order dated 27.04.2017 passed by the 2nd respondent, in refusing to cancel the settlement deeds.
3. It is seen that the second respondent has rejected the request of the petitioner seeking to cancel the settlement https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
deeds. Challenging the order of the second respondent dated 27.04.2017, the petitioner preferred an appeal before the first respondent on 12.10.2017. Now, the grievance of the petitioner before this Court is that the said appeal has not been considered by the first respondent so far.

This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the appeal filed by the petitioner, as it is for the first respondent to consider and decide the same on merits and in accordance with law. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of only with a direction to the first respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner dated 12.10.2017 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the petitioner, the third respondent and other interested parties, if any. Such exercise shall be done by the first respondent within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
