ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent Police to expedite the investigation and file a final report in Crime No.347 of 2025 before the jurisdictional Court.

When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police submitted that the investigation in Crime No.347 of 2025 has been completed and the same has been closed as 'mistake of fact'. He further submitted that the RCS notice has been served on 10.10.2025 and that a copy of the same has been handed over today to the learned counsel for the petitioner. 3.

At this juncture, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks three weeks' time to file a protest petition before the Additional Mahila Court, Salem. 4.

Recording the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Criminal Original Petition stands closed. However, acceding to the request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court directs that if any protest petition is filed by the petitioner before the Additional Mahila Court, Salem, the said Court shall receive the same and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law.
