.. Respondents Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the third respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 27.02.2014 and dispose of the same in a time bound manner. For Petitioner :

ORDER

Heard Mr.I.Abrar Md.Abdullah learned counsel for the petitioner, and Mr.V.Jayaprakash Narayanan, learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents.

2. The petitioner seeks for the issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the third respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 27.02.2014 and dispose of the same within a stipulated time. By the said representation, the petitioner seeks for cancellation of the patta granted in favour of Sennadu, S/o.Munikadu in whose name patta has been granted, while updation of the revenue records. The petitioner now states that he is entitled to separate patta in his name. The said Sennadu has not been impleaded as a respondent in the writ petition. Hence, the merits of the allegations made by the petitioner is not gone into in this writ https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

petition and the same is left open for consideration by the authorities concerned.

3. Since the petitioner seeks for correction in the UDR records, the competent authority for rectification of the same is the District Revenue Officer. However without any report from the Tahsildar, the first respondent cannot take up the matter.

4. Hence, there will be a direction to the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 27.02.2014, after notice to the said Sennadu and after hearing both the parties, the third respondent shall submit a report to the first respondent, who in turn, shall consider the same and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible.

5. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
