ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed praying to direct the respondent Police not to harass the petitioner on the false complaint given by one Sheeba.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent and perused the materials placed on record.

3. It is represented by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor that on a complaint given by petitioner's wife one Sheeba, petition enquiry is pending against the petitioner.

4. Under such circumstances, no blanket order of not to harass can be passed. If the petitioner is wanted either for enquiry or for interrogation, he can very well be summoned by the respondent police and while doing so, the petitioner shall not be https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

harassed. At the same time, the petitioner should submit himself to the respondent for interrogation and enquiry. It is made clear that this order will not shield, if the petitioner is involved in cognizable offence.

5. With the above observation, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
