Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent herein to give effect to his order dated 18.03.2017 selecting the petitioner for the post of Office Assistant by issuing an order of provisional appointment to the petitioner in the said post subject to the outcome of the criminal case registered in FIR no.156/2013 on the file of the Inspector of Police, Prohibition and Excise Wing, Maduranthagam.

After generating debate at the bar for quite some time, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks the permission of this Court to withdraw this writ petition with liberty to pursue the remedies available to him under law for securing redressal of his grievance.
