ORDER

(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) We have heard Mr.I.Romeo Roy Alfred, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.Niranjan Rajagopalan, learned counsel for the respondents.

2. The learned counsel for the respondents submits that the application of the petitioner has been rejected on 22.02.2024. However, the petitioner has a remedy of filing an appeal under Section 24 of the Representation of People Act, 1950. The process has to be completed by 27.03.2024.

3. The petitioner may file an appeal tomorrow itself with the appellate authority, challenging the order rejecting her application for enrollment of her name in the electoral voters list. In case an appeal is filed, the same be decided by the authorities on or before 25.03.2024.

4. The writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
