Prayer : Writ Petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a Writ of Certiorarified mandamus, calling for the records pertaining to the impugned order of the 3rd respondent passed in by his proceedings Na. Ka. No.652/2014/A4 dated 21.10.2013 and consequently quash the same and direct the respondents to permit the petitioner to continue fishing operation for any future period for one year or alternatively refund the lease amount paid by the petitioner for the year 2012-2013.

On 19.08.2020, when the learned counsel for the petitioner represented that papers have been taken by the party as early as on 16.11.2014, the learned counsel was directed to file a memo to that effect and in the event of memo being filed, the Registry was directed to print the name of the petitioner and post the matter 28.08.2020.

On 28.08.2020, when the matter was called, there was no representation on behalf of the petitioner and hence, the matter was directed to be listed on 08.09.2020. The same state of affairs continued on 09.09.2020, and hence, in order to give one more opportunity to the petitioner to argue the case, the matter was directed to be listed on 11.09.2020 under the caption 'For Dismissal'. Even today (i.e. on 11.09.2020), when the matter is called, there is no representation for the petitioner, either in person or through counsel, though his name has been printed in the cause list.
3. In view of the same, the writ petition is dismissed for non-prosecution. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
