(Order of the Court was made by N.KIRUBAKARAN,J.) This petition has been filed to extend the ordinary leave granted to the detenu for a further period of 30 days in Crl.M.P.No.2093 of 2020 in H.C.P.No.2380 of 2019.

2.It is seen from the records that the petitioner is a life convict and he has been given leave up to 18.03.2020 by order dated 18.02.2020 as his health condition is very critical.

3.The learned Counsel for the petitioner submitted that the detenu is paralysed and he has been admitted in K.M.Hospital at K.K.Nagar, Chennai and hence, he seeks to extend the leave period for his further treatment. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor also confirmed the said facts and submitted that he has already been granted leave till 18.03.2020. 1/3

4.Taking into consideration of the above facts and circumstances, this Court extends the period of leave from 18.03.2020 to 08.04.2020. The detenu need not be brought back to prison on 18.03.2020 at 05.00 P.M. as per the earlier order dated 18.02.2020 and he is directed to be brought back to prison at 05.00 P.M. on 08.04.2020.

5.Accordingly, this petition is ordered.
