ORDER

This Review Application is filed seeking to review the order, dated 20.02.2026 passed by this Court in W.P.No.7216 of 2016.

2. The Review Application is moved on two grounds. Firstly, this Court had directed the authorities to consider the candidature of the petitioner only upon production of the Linguistic Minority Certificate from 2/5

the Tahsildar. The Tahsildar had issued the certificate only belatedly. Therefore, the authorities should be directed to consider. Secondly, the petitioner should be placed in the appropriate place in the merit for Telugu Minority candidate and the direction should be given to consider.

3. Per contra, Mrs.M.Sneha, the learned Standing Counsel for the third respondent would submit that it is true that the petitioner had produced the Telugu Minority certificate only today i.e., on 23.02.2026 at about 3.00 P.M. However, since the last date for choice locking in respect of the stray round is over from 20.02.2026 to 22.02.2026. Unless this Court specifically directs, the authorities will not be able to unlock the portal and upload the details of the petitioner to be considered as a Linguistic Minority candidate.

4. Since this Court passed an order with reference to the merit position after considering the case of the parties, there is no question of changing it in the Review Application. As far as the consideration of the petitioner is concerned, the respondent authorities are directed to reopen the portal and upload the details of the petitioner and consider the case of the petitioner under the Telugu Linguistic Minority quota as the certificate 3/5

is already produced.

5. With the above direction, this Revision Application is disposed of accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
