Respondents Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of habeas corpus calling for the records relating to the impugned order of detention passed by the second respondent in Memo No.1243/BDFGISSV/2014 dated 12.9.2014 and set aside the same and consequently direct the respondents to produce the detenu Ashok @ Ashok Kumar aged about 30 years petitioner's son now confined at Central Prison, Puzhal - I, Chennai, before this Court and set him at liberty forthwith.

O R D E R
The petitioner, who is the mother of the detenu, Ashok @ Ashok Kumar, son of Shanmugam, aged about 30 years, has come forward with this petition challenging the detention order passed by the .2nd respondent dated 12.9.2014 against her son branding him as a "Goonda" under the Tamil Nadu Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Bootleggers, Drug Offenders, Forest Offenders, Goondas, Immoral Traffic Offenders, Sand Offenders, Slum Grabbers and Video Pirates Act, 1982 [Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982].

2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the order of detention passed by the 2nd respondent as against the son of the petitioner dated 12.9.2014 has been revoked by the Government in G.O. [Rt] No.5639, dated 5.11.2014 and he has also produced a copy of the said order.
3. Recording the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this petition is dismissed as infructuous.
