Learned counsel appearing for the parties submitted that, the statutory mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal was extended by mutual consent, which also expired on 30.03.2019, within which time, the arbitration proceedings already reached the stage of arguments and in fact the main arguments has been submitted by both sides. Only rejoinder and supplementary arguments have to be made. Therefore, for completing such arguments and to pass the final award, if the time is extended reasonably, the Arbitral Tribunal can complete and conclude the proceedings.
2. Considering the said factual matrix of the case as well as the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for both sides, this Court is inclined to extend the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal for the further period of six months i.e., till 30.09.2019, within which period, it is expected that the arbitration proceedings would be concluded and final award would be passed.
