Respondent This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to pass final orders in the disciplinary proceedings initiated pursuant to the charge memo dated 29.1.2014 bearing Na.Ka. No.Pa.Aa1/283/2014 on the respondent herein.

O R D E R

The relief sought for in this writ petition is for a direction to the respondent to conclude the enquiry and pass final orders in the disciplinary proceedings initiated against the writ petitioner under charge memo dated 29.1.2014.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner contended that the writ petitioner is due to retire from service on 31.12.2017 on her attaining the age of superannuation. However, disciplinary proceedings were initiated against the writ petitioner and the writ petitioner also submitted her explanations, denying the charges. An Enquiry Officer was appointed and the writ petitioner participated in the enquiry and on completion of the domestic enquiry, the Enquiry Officer submitted his Final Report on 14.9.2016. However, no order has been passed for the past about 10 months.

3. In this view of the matter, the respondent is directed to complete the disciplinary proceedings in all respects and pass final orders, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
